Charity Shop Volunteer

The role

Volunteers are at the heart of our Charity Shop. You can offer as much or as little time as you like and support the valuable work YMCA does in our community. Money raised in our store helps support YMCA programmes ensuring each young person we meet has an opportunity to belong, contribute and thrive.

About you

You might be a student – or retired – wanting to contribute to the community, or a young person who wants to gain retail experience to improve their CV.  Become a volunteer and you’ll be involved in:

• Being the face of the YMCA on the high street
• Sorting through clothes and donations
• Pricing up stock
• Selling goods such as: clothing, shoes, books, DVDs, bric-a-brac and YMCA merchandise
• Merchandising and window displays
• Dealing with members of the public
