Board Game Club @ Roughwood Primary school

We’ve had the privilege of trailing a new Board Game Club in Roughwood Primary School this week, with a view of running the group on a weekly basis from September. We’ve seen up to a dozen Y3 and Y4 students give up their lunchtime to play games such as Connect 4, Uno, Guess Who? and Dobble.

We also used the YMCA Small Talk question card resources to start to open up conversations and develop relationships with the young people. It was a great opportunity to develop conversations with and between the young people which we hope to build upon in the coming months.

We are looking forward to returning next week to run the Club again before they break up for the Summer Holiday’s; before returning to school next term.
