As well as our projects in South Yorkshire and the YMCA centres working hard right across the UK, we are also a global movement seeking to respond to the needs of young people around the world.
YMCA White Rose is part of the international Christian, ecumenical, voluntary movement for women and men seeking to emphasise the genuine involvement of young people and to share the ideal of building a human community of justice with love, peace and reconciliation for the fullness of life for all creation.
We are a local organisation… but with the global reach and expertise of YMCA worldwide!
YMCA England supports and represents the 135 YMCAs in England, as well as being a voice for YMCAs and young people on the national stage. You can read more about them on the YMCA England website
The YMCA (Young Men’s Christian Association) is one of the oldest and largest movements for youth in the world. Founded in 1844, it now operates in 125 countries, and has over 45 million members worldwide. The YMCA works to bring social justice and peace to young people and their communities, regardless of religion, race, gender or culture.
